Corporate Games '96

Three years ago, we participated in this game
carnival, organised by MPPJ as the underdog and
the only gold medal, infact the only medal that
we won was through our "snooker warriors" and
the rest were monopolised by other teams.

This year, the scenario was rather different. Ever
since the completion of our KSS Games Carnival
in September, we started our selection and
intensive training. As a a result, we were no
longer walking out of the competition arena as
the beaten lots but in many games, as VICTORS!

The Corporate Games was hosted in order to
foster better relationship and understanding
between government and non-government
sectors.

Participants this year were from MPPJ, PKNS,
Motorola, Kelab Sukan Sunway and Matsushita.
The opening of the games was on 12th October
and closing on 27th October.

KSS sent 97-strong contingent to participate in
the parade on the opening day at Matsushita

After the opening, the athletic events followed
and out of 6 races, KSS pocketed 5 golds and
one silver. The rest of the days were other events
keenly contested between the participating
teams, such as table tennis, dart, chess, tug-of-
war, carrom, squash, badminton, football,
hockey, volley ball, sepak takraw, snooker,
netball, bowling and golf.

All in, we succeeded in winning 8 golds, 6 silvers
and 4 bronze medals and we were placed third
with 100 points, tailing behind MPPJ and PKNS
