An Enchanting Autumn at China

Forty seven KSS members spent a cool 5 days
in Beijing from 11th October to 15th October.

We stayed at the Friendship Hotel located in the
heart of Beijing City. We were spHt into two
groups, namely the Emperor Group while the
others were aptly named the Concubines.

The evening we anived, we were taken to a very
misty and cold Tianamen Square. We were lucky
to be around this time as China was still
celebrating their National Day. All over Beijing,
Maytiy, Ann Tan and Sharon Tan at the foothill of the Grcut Wall
its streets were beautifully decorated with fresh China.

The weather was excellent - cool and windy
which certainly suit us well as we were made to
walk miles and miles throughout our stay in
Beijing. Besides the walk up the Great Wall of
China, we also climbed a hill to reach Ming
Tombs.

Food suited our taste buds just fine as our tour
guides served us typical spicy Malaysian food
besides the popular local dishes.

Other famous historical sites which we visited
included the famous World Park, Temple of
Heaven, Summer Palace and Beihai Park.
