PHUKET, Island of Paradise

8 ea'^er members participated in this KSS
     rgani'sed trip from 15th to 18th December.

The trip was filled with never-ending activities
from morning to night and from the moment the
plane landed in Phuket (though it was very
delayed). We were full of holidaying spirit!

We were taken to the temple of Golden Buddha,
handicraft centre, cashew nut factory and James
    007 Bond Island.

The "wet" cruise to James Bond Island.
We also visited a Buddhist temple in Krabi where
five adventurous members decided to climb up
approximately 1700 steps up the hill where, the
Buddha's foot-steps could be seen (not to the
naked eye though)! Phew! What a climb - can't
imagine how the monks climb up those steps
     daily for prayers.

At the end, most of us had burnt our wallets after
along and hard bargaining shopping spree.

There were 12 finalists vying for the
Championship and after the culmination of a
month-long heats at the Citadel, 20th December
was the day of recognition for the champ.

The competition was intense as each contestant
was doing their very best to out do the others.
Songs of yesteryears and current hits were belted
out, not to mention the appearance of a superbike
                                                   on stage!
