p^llroom Dancing Champions Have A Splash

Friday. 14th March and Sunday 16th March,
couples who were participating in the
vf tional Cup Dance Sport Championship 1997,
ok some time off to have a break at Sunway
Lagoon.

The couples who hailed from Australia, Canada,
China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy,
Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Scotland,
South Africa, Thailand, Taiwan and United
Kingdom are all world class ballroom dance
champions in their respective countries. The
couples enjoyed all the rides and slides at the
Fort Lagoon Wild Wild West, Adventure Park Participants from various countries enjoyed themselves on all the rides

Sunway Lagoon Muhibbah Nile '97

After the many months of hard work, the 300
Sunway Lagoon staff were rewarded with an
Annual Dinner held at our very own Sunway
Lagoon Resort Hotel.

The theme of the evening was ^Muhibbah', thus
in the great tradition of Sunway Lagoon staff, a
majority of the staff came dressed to kill in
various spectacular traditional outfits. This made
the decision of the judges of the Best Dressed
Female and Best Dressed Male competition very
difficult. However, at the end of the day, there
had to be a winner who walked away with a cash
prize of RM500 in each of the categories. The
winners for the evening were Sonia O i
(Marketing Department) - Female Category and

Goh Sook Min F & B ) - Male Category, who Our winners for the Mule and Female Best Dressed Award,
Ms Sonia Ooi and Mr Goh Sook Min.
both wore dazzling traditional Indian outfits.
The Baba & Nyonya team, comprising Kenny
& Fern entertained the staff with their well-
^own jokes and antics. Professionals they may
he, but the spectacular performance by the
Sunway Lagoon staff which were a series of
dances done with lip sync ranging from Bobby
Brown to the legendary Tan Sri P Ramlee, was
no doubt the highlight of the evening.
