EDUCATION MINISTER FROM REPUBLIC Op
MALDIVES VISITS SUNWAY COLLEGE
The Minister of Education from the RepubHc of
Maldives, Dr Mohammad Latheef visited
Sunway College on March 26, adding to our
College's already distinguished list of visitors.
Ten Maldivian students currently studying at
Sunway College were very pleased to have had
the opportunity to meet with their Minister. The
Minister was then briefed on the College's
facilities and taken on a tour of the campus.
Also present to welcome the Minister together
with the students were Tan Sri R.V. Navaratnam,
Executive Director, Mr Lee Weng Keng,
Director, Ms Elizabeth Lee, Vice-Principal and
Programme Directors.
Upon his return, the Minister wrote a letter to
thank Sunway College for their warm reception.
He was confident that Malaysia's commitment,
meticulous planning and massive investment in
human resources development will enable
Malaysia to achieve world class education.

TAN SRI DATO' SERI DR EFFREY CHEAH
SCHOLASTIC AWARDS
Five students were rewarded for thei;
achievements on 31 January 1997. Lim Ju
Hong, Chee Chem Shiung, Koh Chun Giap,
Pik Suan and Ng Wai Leong were
recipients of the Tan Sri Dato' Sen Dr Jef
Cheah Scholastic Award.
Puan Sri Susan Cheah, Executive Directc
presented the certificates of achievements toi
recipients on behalf of Tan Sri Dato' Sen
Jeffrey Cheah.
Also present at the ceremony were Tan Sn Da
Recipients with their certificates of achievements. R.V. Navaratnam, Mr Lee Weng Keng, and
Congratulations to all!
