     to a     charitable             cause







     Fill  our  stomachs  a n d  s a v e  lives  at  the  s a m e  time?

     K e l a b  S u k a n  S u n w a y  ( K S S )  m e m b e r s ,  including  those  from
     S u n w a y  Lagoon  Theme  Park,  S u n w a y  Lagoon  Resort  Hotel,
     S u n w a y  P y r a m i d ,  S u n w a y  College  a n d  other  c o m p a n i e s  ate
     all  they  could  a n d  did  their  bit  for  charity  during  the  J E
     H u m a n i t a r i a n  drive  on  1 6  M a r c h  at  the  staff  cafetaria  at
     M e n a r a  S u n g e i W a y .


     C a f e t a r i a  operators  w e r e  generous  to  donate  all  their  takings
     for  the  d a y  w h i c h  included  profits  m a d e  during  breakfast  a n d         m e a ^ i g ^ H
     lunch.  A  total  of  R M 7 , 0 0 0  w e r e  raised  at  the  e n d  of  the  one-
     d a y  event  themed  "Help  the victims,  d o  y o u r  bit...  all  y o u  h a v e  to  d o  is  e a t . "

    This  g o e s  to  s h o w  that  the  c a r i n g  M a l a y s i a n  spirit  is  alive  m  e a c h  a n d  every  staff  of  the  S u n g e i W a y  G r o u p .

















                                                    The  K S S  B e a c h  Soccer  1 9 9 9  competition  kicked  off  to  a

                                                    start on  4  J u n e  at  the  Elephant  W a l k ,  S u n w a y  Lagoon  Theme I

                                                    with  8  teams  slogging  it out despite  h e a v y  d o w n p o u r  earlier  in the
                                                                                   J
                                                    day.  The  actions  continued  on  1 1 u n e  w h i c h  s a w  another  8  teams
                              Players giving  their best   clashing  to  w i n  a  place  in  the  next  round  of  competition.

                                                    Players  p l a y e d  their  hearts out, ans  w e r e  treated  to  infinite  number
                                                    of  goals  a n d  w h e n  the  dust  finally  settled.  W h i t e  Lion  roared  its
                                                    w a y  to the  coveted  Beach  Soccer  honours.  The  Lions  shov/ed

                                                    Brazil  the  S a m b a  moves  by  defeating  the  latter  5-4.
